Ben is the editor and co-producer of the PBS Independent Lens documentary, Today's Man, which premiered at the Margret Mead Film Festival in New York City. His piece, A Right For Justice, created for the human rights group Witness, was featured at The Human Rights Watch International Film Festival at the Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center. He is a contributing editor on a number of films including the PBS American Masters Special documentary, The Lives of Lillian Hellman, Castle Hill Productions documentary, Shakespeare's Women: Claire Bloom, and the HBO documentary, The Kidnapping of Ingrid Betancourt. His recent short, Room Service, has and continues to screen at dozens of film festivals around the world. Ben cut the title sequence for Marc Forster’s Sundance premier, Everything Put Together, which was nominated for two Independent Spirit Awards and won one.

Ben has been cutting television shows, commercials, independent films and music videos for over ten years, but before entering the film world, Ben worked in the music business for such labels as Polygram, TVT, and Rhino Records, compiling music for box sets. Some of these collections include the Grammy award-winning, James Brown - Star Time, the Grammy award-winning,The Complete Billie Holiday On Verve 1945-1959, and The Sullivan Years.
